RGN - Irish Blood Transfusion Service, Carlow

Role Description

This is a specified purpose for contract for maternity leave and the hours of work are on avg. 29.25- 33.30 hours per week.

Salaries are aligned with the Department of Health pay scales 
•Income Protection with all contracts over 1 year 
•Location allowance if applicable 
•Dual qualification allowance if applicable 
•Travel and subsistence allowance if applicable

Essential Criteria: 
•Be registered with NMBI in the General Division 
•Have your name maintained on the live register of NMBI 
•Have a minimum of 3 years post registration experience, relevant to the role of the RGN in the IBTS 
•Provide evidence of recent Continuous Professional Development 
•Excellent communication skills 
•Demonstrate experience in managing people 
•Proficient in the use of IT Management Systems (e.g. Electronic Patient Record/Management Systems/Learning Management Systems) 
•Experience in change management 
•Ability to work autonomously within your Scope of Practice 
•Demonstrate a willingness to work flexible hours

Desirable Criteria: 
•Experience in Haemovigilance/Oncology/Haematology Nursing

The salary scale attached to the post is the Staff Nurse scale €28,211 to €44,800 (incl. LSI) pro rata per annum. Entry point onto the salary scale is dependent upon relevant public sector experience.
