Role Description


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Demonstrating knowledge and playing an active role, regarding KYC issues relevant to your team’s activities
  • Serving as a point of guidance and escalation for your team and providing overall policy and procedure guidance
  • Evaluating and resolving issues around the quality and content of alerts in partnership with the team
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with your Operations Manager, Lines of Business, Operations, Audit, Compliance, Technology and Team Leaders to ensure consistent quality delivery
  • Acting as the team’s central point of contact for Anti Financial Crime (AFC), concerning changes to policy, procedures and regulations
  • Supporting ongoing change initiatives, understanding the regulatory environment, challenging the status quo and displaying initiative and innovation
  • Managing project deadlines and demonstrating commitment to relevant forums, projects and business developments
  • Participating in business initiatives involving client on-boarding and documenting new processes
  • Encouraging a positive and professional working environment 

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • A strong background in Banking / Financial Services experience, including supervisory / management experience and KYC / Compliance experience
  • An understanding of control, compliance and investigation functions in the Banking industry
  • An awareness of global AML / KYC regulations and industry guidelines
  • An understanding of the possible implications of financial sanctions on Banks and Financial Institutions
  • A strong research background and the ability to understand the implications of financial sanctions on individuals, blocked person’s, Specially Designated Nationals (SDN’s) and the risks of dealing with them
  • The ability to understand the risks of dealing with politically exposed persons (PEP’s) and regulatory expectations around dealing with them
  • Understanding of the possible implications of financial sanctions on Banks and Financial Institutions
  • Very good understanding of the end to end KYC and client on-boarding processes
  • Fluent in both written and verbal French & English
